Barrel Length And Calibre —milsim airsoft weapons velocity system— | ||||
|
Back in 2008 I decided to introduce what I called the BLAC system that determines the velocity limits for each of our airsoft weapons, using the models real-world calibre and its external barrel length as the guide.
At the same time we switched over to using real capacity magazines/loads in our weapons, meaning that they carried the same amount of ammunition as their real-world counterparts. The two elements together have produced a far more realistic style of play, and has proven very popular. For many years I did not get around to publishing the system on-line, but as of 2017 it is at long last on the web. In fact due to its size, and interest from others outside of the CONTACT player base, I decided it warranted its own website. Not only will you find the means to work out your weapon power limits, but pages dealing with eye protection, BB selection, spare ammunition and magazine usage, and a host of other related topics, which are NOT duplicated on this website. The top link in the side bar at left, will take you to the BLAC Home Page, while the one directly beneath it, will enable you to join the dedicated Yahoo Group I set up for users to discuss issues, pose questions, and throw rocks. As ever, if you have any problems, email me (Dean) and I will do my best to help. Meanwhile go and have a look at the BLAC website. BLANK FYI The URL:www.barrellengthandcalibre.org.uk
