Table 1 below shows the Officer-NCO equivalents, for commissioning and decommissioning purposes and includes the rank modifiers for transfers. It is read top to bottom in order of points value, with the officer ranks to the left and NCO ranks to the right under a transfer penalty minus number. The default starting collum is headed 0, meaning "no penalties to date". This collomn is used for regular commissioning and decommissioning. The "minus" collumns are used for Mandatory Transfers ONLY.
Where no movement option is possible a dash is inserted, for example a Private First Class cannot become an officer. Likewise transfers have no effect upon those holding the rank of Recruit, Private or Private First Class. An officer or NCO can only be demoted to the rank of Private First Class and no further. The Transfer "minus" is time dependent, and will eventually be eliminated, and your rank will once again reflect your points. Examples: 1. If you are a Staff Sergeant and you are considering requesting a commission, your rank would become Captain. 2. On the other hand if you are a Major, and you decide to be decommissioned, then you will become a Sergeant First Class. 3. If while serving as a Colonel you become subject to a Mandatory Transfer, you will arive at your new posting as either a Lieutenant Colonel or a Master Sergeant, depending upon whether you choose to retain your commission, or decide to return to the NCO ranks. Remember that in either case, you will be initially assigned to your new regiments Military Police Company and tasked with internal base security and external perimeter patrols. After three operations inclusive, you will be cleared for Flight duty once again. At the bottom are three abbreviation tables:

* The rank of First Sergeant (1SGT) is an appointment, with no more than one per Regiment. Although in practise it is regarded as equal to that of Sergeant Major (SM), it officially has no command authority outside of its specific assignment, which is to serve as the units senior administrative officer (S1) or as their chief assistant if a commissioned officer has been appointed to that task.
