Introduction As the US government provides the funding and the majority of the personnel to the CONTACT program, they too provide the awards and rank system. However, each participating nation provides its personnel with their most senior award, which for the UK and the Commonwealth is the Victoria Cross and the George Cross. Other than the senior awards, all others are available to members of the Corps. The United Nations provides the final two awards directly. These medals fall in to two distinct types, firstly decorations and secondly service medals. Decorations can be easily distinguished in that each is of a unique shape, with the exception of the Prisoner Of War Medal which is like all the service medals that follow, in that it is round. The division between the two types lies between the Combat Readiness Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. With the obvious exception of the first two senior decorations which are equal in status, all others are shown in standard order of precedence, top left to bottom right.
