Gatewatch Report
Issued @ 16:00hrs on 26/11/2004
All the current activations are for the period 25/11/04 (14:36)-29/11/04 (15:53). All of the early and later signals remain at this time unresolved (times/target), and it is expected that due to the poor signal strength, they will remain as such. Only 13 of these 23 gates are actually viable. All of which are to known destinations, however 1 is a target that has not come up on STARGATE 51’s normal range, so is unknown here, a situation almost identical to CON-49.
This behaviour remains “consistent” within the parameters of recent observations, as the gate system is continuing to exhibit untypical behaviour, as per CONTACT’S 39-49, with rough and unpredictable flight experiences for crews expected as before. Great caution and firm flight discipline is essential to prevent injuries or loss of personnel or equipment during this operation. Gatewatch 50, 52 and 54 are in the present cycle, all reporting similarly decreased activity with few resolved signal spikes. There is still no data from Stargate-53 for comparison at this time, as the French report that their base remains off-line, but are confident that normal operations will be resumed towards the middle of next year. STAR GATE 55 along with all archived material and the majority of the personnel at the REGION-55 Base where it was housed, are as most of you know, lost due to the use of the base’s self destruct system, in response to a “Foothold” situation. It is unknown how many REGION-55 survivors are actually currently stranded off world, with the exception of those listed as MIA (see issue 50 of the MIA listings). Caution is recommended when dealing with such personnel, due to possible long duration exposure to ABC. No further data is expected, and the PRC is currently reassessing its contribution to the CONTACT program. We will keep you apprised.

Intelligence Summary: Due to lack of content a reliable summary cannot be produced. No offworld data. Notes below cannot be assumed to have been produced as a result of samples brought back from this world.
After Action Reports:
Stargazer, recon & general science mission to VC161A.
Outbound gate 22.59 hundred hours.
Return gate 23.40 hundred hours.
Return gate 00.22 hundred hours.
Return gate 03.02 hundred hours.

Cpt. Well, Dr. Webster, Pvt. Grana Preigo, Pvt Paxton.
Bravo squad;
Sgt. Briggs, Pvt. Walters, Pvt. Bailey, Pvt. Thompson.
Charlie squad;
S.Sgt Morgenstern, Pvt. Ridgeway.
No Notes on this mission, as S.Sgt Morgenstern, Pvt. Ridgeway, Pvt. Walters, Pvt. Bailey, Pvt. Thompson, Pvt. Grana Preigo, Pvt Paxton all lost offworld after Cpt. Well & Sgt. Briggs took Dr. Webster back on the first gate return.
Porton Down Notes. For full report see DSTL report.
Talked to Lt. Wright who told me that recovered object was externally covered by a metal flake composite of gold, silver, lead, copper, manganese & cobalt. The hollow interior was made of silicon and contained liquid gloop that had with silver/grey pellets in it. Trace amounts of nanites, Type 1s on the outside and Type 2s on the inside. CAT scan showed organic structure based on fractal architecture. X-rays showed nothing except the metals. Electron microscope showed silicon with small quantities of carbon 60 Bucky Balls. Fibrous material was also made of carbon that broke down easily. Overall shape of object was regular, but with irregularities suggesting it was grown? Small opening at one end. Port Down of the opinion that the object was cut, or torn from a larger object.
Soil samples taken at same time were sterile, with no traces of any organic compounds. Air sample was also sterile with no bacteria etc. It was as if the samples had come from a clean room environment, rather than being found on the surface of an alien world.
Summary: Either deliberate, or inadvertent depositing of concentrated M2 gloop estimated originally 8/900,000 parts per million; pure inside object. Outer shell showing M1A/J estimated at 100 parts per million; low level contamination. Exterior shell to protect interior ovipositor? Smell not unpleasant, clinical clean, unlike M1 smell.
