Section G: Citations |

#1 Awarded 17 FEB 07 The Citation Reads:
"On the morning of Sunday 09 OCT 05 during CON-55, Operation Edington, Second Lieutenant Bradley Aitken, while serving as part of the RGHQ-51 Ground Crew in the post of AS2 (Assistant Intelligence Officer), was in attendence of the final landings from mission 11~14, when enemy forces gained access to the base via the Gate in a 'foothold' situation. Aitken performed an outstanding achievement above and beyond the call of duty, when, due to the loss of the internal communications systems, did, despite serious physical impairment and acute pain resulting from cancer of the leg, without orders, voluntarily take unto himself the duty of runner, and raced from the Gate room, up three floors, to the Ready Room to raise the alarm. Thus enabling re-enforcements to successfully provide support to the surviving members of the Gate Defence Team, ensuring the defeat and capture of several enemy personnel.
Therefore, in recognition of this outstanding and notable action, he is this day, the 17th of February 2007, awarded the Achievement Medal."
