The Oakeshott Institute The institute created by Ewart Oakeshott, Britains foremost author, collector and teacher of the history of the medieval sword. His books inevitably grace the shelves of anyone interested in European arms and armour. Sadly the institute is based in the USA.

e-Museum This museum of Japanese textiles, allows their images to be zoomed in so tightly that you can see the individual fibres.
