Our First Large Scale Display
Military Odyssey 2005

Below are three images from our very first large scale display which was at the 2005 Military Odyssey Show in Detling, Kent. Here we established a representation of a SAMURAI warlord's headquarters. This was surrounded by a classical JIN MAKU, that is a 160 foot long by 6 foot high "camp curtain, resplendent with numerous MON or crests. To this was added almost a dozen banners and two European tents. A Japanese tent was being planned at that time, but this did not go in to service until 2015.

Note that all the banners and the JIN MAKU (camp curtain) are flying overly well - windy!

There were only three of us for most of the event, which made it really tiring, but we won best in show, so it was all worth it.
