| General Service Record: | Dr Smith's service commenced at BASE-78 (VOSTOK) in Antarctica on July 1st 1996, ending there on January 1st 1999 when he was transferred to AREA-50 (USA). He was temporarily relocated to AREA-52 (USA) during the 2008 emergency, but is once again assigned to AREA-50. |
| Assignment: | Smith is the Command's critical researcher in to gravity, with the emphasis upon determining the origin and consequences of the gravitational effects within wormholes as experience by flight crew personnel. As part of this work he received funding to take an additional science degree in 2000 in astronomy, to reduce the necessity for additional personnel in his extremely sensitive work. He is the originator and developer of the Gravitational Wave Detection Instrument Package (GWDIP) as carried by all SG teams. He has produced several scientific papers all but one of which have been classified as TOP SECRET. |
